This course introduces the student to the Patrol Rifle, focusing primarily on the AR15/M4 platform. Students will become familiarized with the AR15/M4 rifle and will learn the basic handling skills necessary to safely operate and maintain this firearm. Students will also learn nomenclature, disassembly/reassembly, mechanical operation, care & cleaning, preventive maintenance, zeroing iron sights, shooting positions and more. Other approved patrol rifles may be used.
